Newborn Photography

Your mind is a vulnerable thing and memories can change or be lost forever and this is why newborn photography is so important . Photos help us relive those memories and keep them alive in our minds. It becomes important to not just capture the moment but also make it yours. Don’t forget to add yourselves in a picture, as much as you are keen to remember the child as they are. They will want to see what you were like at that moment as well someday.

When to take newborn photos?

Best within the first 5-14 days for those sleepy squishy newborn poses. Babies older than 2 weeks are getting stronger and often fight poses. If your baby is more than 3 weeks old let’s chat about doing more of a lifestyle session.

Newborn photoshoot poses, are there many poses to use?

I offer a more baby-led approach. That means that if the baby lets us do a pose, we try it. If the baby fuses or doesn’t like a pose we move on to something else.

When do I receive my photos?

Within a few weeks of your session, we will have your image reveal session where we will meet on Zoom and relive your session again together. We will go through the images narrow down your favorites and decide on artwork albums, etc.

How many photos will I receive?

The choice is yours. My smallest collection includes 10 digital images.

Is family posing Included?

Yes, family and sibling poses are included and encouraged.

Studio location – Where is your studio? Do you do location shoots?

Peachland is where the studio is located. The studio is available for maternity, newborn, boudoir, and cake smash sessions. I can also shoot on location outdoors at sunset for maternity and family sessions.

What Do I need to do to prepare for my shoot?

During your pre-session consultation, we will discuss everything in regard to your session. Outfits, what to bring, client closets, location, and what to expect will all be covered. My goal is to have you prepared during this call so you can show up and have fun during your shoot without worrying about what to prep/wear.

What does she shoot include?

Do you provide dresses, wraps, or costumes?

There is a full client closet full of gowns, dresses and lingerie. You can use our small collection of outfits for toddler/school-aged boys and girls. I also supply all props for newborn and cake smash sessions.

Can my partner or children join in the shoot?

Absolutely! Pets are welcome on location as well. Having your partner or children come along offers more variety in posing and results in more images on your walls.
